Andersson Chicas is a 20-year-old who came to my studio, Vision2Life Media with a dream of making music. A hard-working landscaper who drives a big truck, Andersson loves soccer and Latin music—especially Bad Bunny. As a funny, warm, yet shy guy with a thick Hispanic accent, Andersson is easy to like. His English is good, but Spanish remains his first language, making for some interesting conversations in the studio. Especially because all of the music he does is Spanish.

Though he grew up in a Catholic household where attending church was more of a holiday tradition, Andersson himself didn’t practice his faith. Still, he wasn’t opposed to Jesus or Christianity. Over the months, we built a friendship, and our conversations occasionally shifted to deeper topics. I sensed his openness to spiritual discussions, and though there was a language barrier, we managed to communicate well enough.

Then one day, after one of his sessions, I felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to share the Gospel with Andersson. I walked him through the “Romans Road,” a powerful set of scriptures that explain God’s path to salvation, breaking it down as simply as I could. Even though Spanish is his first language and my own Spanish skills are barely enough to order tacos, God made a way. Through His grace, Andersson understood the message, and I watched as joy spread across his face. That day, Andersson accepted Jesus, and I could see a new light in him.

Now, whenever Andersson comes to the studio, we spend about an hour in Bible study after his recording sessions. It’s amazing to watch him grow in his understanding and see him experience the joy that comes from a relationship with Jesus. He’s still in the early stages of his walk with God, but he’s committed and curious, eager to learn and seeking Jesus with an open heart.

This journey with Andersson has shown me that God doesn’t let language or cultural barriers stop His work. I’m excited to see how God will continue to grow and use Andersson, a young man with a big heart, for His Kingdom. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of his story, and I look forward to seeing how his faith will flourish. God has a unique purpose for him, and it’s only just beginning.
